What I've Been Working On

The first time I saw this pattern I just HAD to have it. Vicky from www.oldehomesteadbarn.com designed it and I LOVE this pattern!!!
Well I bought it the first day it came out and started working on it. Vicky's used an old spool for hers but unfortunately these are not available where I live so I had to think of something else to use for the watermelon. And then it hit me! What about a tree swing? So my brother cut the limb off a tree that fell during the hail storm for my base and I love it!! (The hail storm is another story!)
Then I have several pieces of old barn wood from my daughter's farm and decided to use that for the base. And here is my version of Vicky's awesome pattern. So what are you working on?

Patti, I drilled a hole in the wood, glued it and then put a screw in the bottome to secure it. I think that secured it better, Valerie

I better make that clearer. The hole only goes about 1/2 in deep. I hope that helps, Valerie
