I Got Beans!!

For the last 3 years our garden has not done very well.  So this year Chester decided to put Miracle Grow Garden Soil in each row before we planted the seeds.  Well it performed miracles!!  I got 1 1/2 bushels green beans in my first picking!!  I have already put up 21 quarts of green beans plus eat a mess Sunday with new potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes and homemade biscuits.YUM YUM!!  They were delicious!  We also got our first two cucumbers out of the garden yesterday and I loaded cottage cheese with cucumbers, green onions and tomatoes.(one of my favorite dishes)  Does anyone else have a garden?

I also listed another Betsy Mouse The Star Spangled Banner in my Etsy shop.  Check out my other listings

I could eat a whole meal of just green beans from the garden. Yum!! or yellow wax beans--just steam til tender and toss in melted butter, salt and pepper! NOTHING better!--Jan

Oh boy does that all sound good, yes we have a garden, we are in northeast Ohio we got ours planted on Memorial day weekend, we have tiny little zucchinni squash coming on, we've had onions, potatoes are doing so so, beans are hit and miss, cucumbers and tomatoes look like they will be plentiful. Dh is going to put some manure on ours at the end of this season and then we should have a better crop next year. Enjoy!

I plant a garden each year just like momma and daddy did. Great way to get good food! I also run a local food pantry thru our church. I asked all of the local gardners to plant 2 extra plants and donate that food to the pantry. I already have several varieties of food coming in! I thought this was a way for people to share their abundance with others!
