Then I have made ear muffs with navy blue fleece fabric. They are attached with rusty wire. His scarf is made from navy blue fleece with snowflakes. I have fringed the bottom of the scarf.

Brenda's 10th ornie

Here is Brenda's 10th ornament for her giveaway. If you haven't entered her giveaway, head over and enter now. She is having some awesome ornies!

Look what I Got!!

I just have to show you what I was lucky enough to get for free!! It came from my daughter and son in law's farm that they bought last year. It's a door from one of their old barns. And they were going to burn it!!!! I couldn't believe I was lucky enough to get this for my front porch. I can't wait to decorate it for Christmas, Valentine's Day and all the seasons! I am leaving the paint just like it is so that it show the charm of old days. Drop me a line and tell me what you think. Until next time...

My Ornie Swap through OFG

I entered an ornie swap through OFG and I got Kris from Painted Kreations. She painted me three adorable ornies, two from wood and one cow bell. I love cows so I loved the cowbell. But just look at the detail on all these ornies. She is a very talented painter.

And when I opened the package, I saw a box with an angel painted on the front. Well I kept thinking where do you get a box that cute to send your items in?LOL Then it hit me, she painted it!!! I think that is the neatest idea. I just wish I could paint. So I am going to display the box along with my other Christmas decorations and how cute is it going to be that I have an angel box with the postage stamp on it? Thank you so much Kris, I love everything!!! And here is a link to her etsy shop so you can see some of her other creations.

Remember Our Veterans

This is my brother, Buster, who served in the Vietnam War and was one of the lucky ones who made it home, but he was never the same. The horrors of that war stayed with him the rest of his life. He suffered with flashbacks that woke him up in the middle of the night screaming. He had panic attacks that took us forever to get him out of.

On this Veterans Day, please take a moment to say a prayer for our veterans. We need to remember that without them we would not have the freedom that we are so blessed to have.
I want you to think about those who are serving and those who have come home. We realize the danger that they are in while fighting but unless you have had someone come home from war, you have no idea how it changes their life. Not only do they fight for our freedom but they pay for that same freedom every day of their life. So please never take your freedom for granted because someone has given their life so that you may have it.
If you see a soldier today, shake their hand and tell them how much they are appreciated. But don't let that stop today. Do this every day throughout the year. When someone took the time to shake Buster's hand and thank him for his sacrifece, it gave him pride to know that they appreciated it.
So I want to take this time to thank every soldier and every nurse, doctor or anyone else who has sacrified their life so that I may be free.
I also want to thank all families that have made sacrifices both while their family members were at war and when they come home helping them adapt to life outside of war. And my heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones during war.
HERE'S TO YOU VETERANS. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!!!
