I finally decided what to do with the cutting board that I refinished and wanted to share a pic with you.
I decided to use the bowl to display seasonal items on my dining room table. And in the Aug/Sept. issue of Prim Sister Gazette there was an awesome tutorial from Kim DeWalt of Cabin Creek Primitives on how to make pumpkins and they are soooo easy! And Lucy has a great idea on coloring leaves and making a scarecrow wreath. If you haven't read their gazette, you should take the time to read it. They always have such good articles in them.
So I colored me some leaves and lined my bowl with them. Then I made two pumpkins, one orange and one white and placed them in the bowl with fixins around them. Then I added a scarecrow ornie that I got in a swap last year in front of the pumpkins. I also made a fly cover from Char's blog and placed a cinammon roll candle wrapped in grundgy gauze under it on the corner of the board. I just love the way this turned out. See what you think. Now I'm trying to decide what to put in it for Christmas. Hmm.
