Ok ladies, it's brain picking time.LOL I found this old coffee can in an out building on an old farm that my daughter and her husband bought. I love this can and want to make something that can be left out all year in my kitchen, but I am BRAIN DEAD!LOL So I thought I would pick your brains to see if you can help me.

If it were me ..I would add a light..and a cofee stained floursack towel to cover the base of the light.I'd just take a regular window light you use at christmas...grubby it ..and get a silicone bulb.Stand it in the can where you have an outlet. And tuck the towel in it.Or if you are putting it someplace where you will know it wont get knocked over..you could actually put the light in..and just literally fill the can around light with Coffee beans!! I would.
That sounds really unique! Thanks, Valerie
I like Donna's idea with the light. I have a similiar coffee can so I'll be checking back for more ideas!
Well Valerie, coffee is my wake up juice so I am thinking maybe tuck a ceramic (or make a fabric) rooster with some spanish moss or some straw in there too? It's a terrific looking can and I sure can see why you fell in love with it.

I like that idea too. However, I think I would add some pipberries or rosehips in the can too...if there's room that is.
When you are finished dressing up the can do take a picture and post it. I'd love to see it. :)
Oh Wow what awesome ideas. Now I have to choose which one I am going to use.LOL I love them all. I will get it together this week and post a pic of it. Thanks girls for all the ideas, Valerie
I just love that can! I would add a small electric candle all grubbied & cinnamoned. They have some tiny little flowers that you could stain with coffee/cinnamon mix to and add around the base of the light. Maybe some pipberries that are color coordinated. All of these ideas from your friends sound wonderful. Love to see your after pictures. Hugs, Dawn
I have no imagination - I'd probably just display it as is, so I can't wait to see what you do with it!
oh thank heavens we don't have to pick our noses. LOL. I love Donna's idea. That sure is an awesome old coffee can.
